Multiplying Blending
multiply blending is basically the exact opposite of screen blending. this time we use light colors instead of dark ones. it is my favorite method of blending since light colors are easier to change/work with. it's also much quicker than regular blending and easier to customize and change. NOTE: your images don't have to be black and white like mine are.
get all of your images out, just like any normal blend and start with a white canvas like i have here. now pick your images out:

Now gradient the edges of your images:
To use the gradient tool properly for blends, you'll have to put it on the correct settings. After choosing your gradient tool, go to the top left of your window and you'll see this bar (click to see it)
Look at this section on your bar and double click the drop down menu with the gradient thumbnail:

A gradient editor menu will show up, you can edit your colors if you haven't already, but choose the second
thumbnail, called foreground to transparent:

Now be sure that on the top gradient bar menu that you have transparency checked off:

Now take out all the images you have and begin to gradient them (refer to the basic blending tutorial). The only color we will be using is white, so change your foreground color to white if it isn't already. Just drag the tool from all sides of your image and pull them towards the middle like so

Now, one by one, paste each image into your white canvas. For each layer/image in your blend, go to your layers window and go to the drop down menu where it says "normal" and choose multiply from the list.

At first it won't do anything but while you go deeper into your blend, you will notice that the white edges of your image disappear after choosing "multiply". This blend mode takes out all of the light colors in each layer so they blend perfectly.
Sometimes you'll get unwanted areas, like i have here. Notice how his leg is on his face:

you can get rid of this and anything else that you don't want in your blend by using your gradient tool. Notice how his leg isn't in the way:

Repeat this process with all of your layers if you haven't already, just by pasting and choosing multiply from the menu. rearrange your images to your liking to complete your blend.

After you finish your blend you can go back to your first/background layer and change the colors:

The possibilities are endless. Use basic blending techniques and skills to enchance your images:
